Kai Yates

Victoria, British Columbia

Vice President and co-founder of the Sooke Animal Food and Rescue Society (SAFARS) in the lovely West Coast of British Columbia, Canada.

My mother and I created the Boneless Project program in 2013 which feeds the pets of the homeless and those who are lower-income in my community. This is a registered charity program that is currently based out of the homeless centre, Our Place Society, in downtown Victoria.

Also, I began GEN Yogi, a West Coast inspired jewelry business. I make jewelry that uses natural elements, such as: semi precious stones, gold, silver and crystals. GEN Yogi is perfect for the hippie chic!

Lastly, I am a fitness and health lover. I spend most of my time in active wear going from weight lifting sessions to hikes. I have a passion for fitness modeling competitions and pushing my body.

My family comes from Uruguay in South America and I was born and raised in Quebec City. I have been fortunate enough to remain fluent in English, Spanish and French. Languages are a beautiful part of life and I hope to be fluent in Portugese, Italian and Japanese one day!
