Kala Diarra - Ali

The soul of Kala Ali began to thrive within this human experience some time during the late 70's. A child created from the remnants of the movement and right there in the love revolution, Kala Ali was destined to be a lover of all things artistic with a sprinkle of weirdness on top. Simply well and put, he is art, and he acts accordingly. Everything from his speech, to his style of writing, to his dress, and even hand at parenting translates the words: Art and culture.

Kala Ali realized that he had a special ear for great music as early as infancy. He used to listen to classic 45 records with his father shortly after his exodus from the womb. Music easily became a part of who Kala Ali really was. Music was the one thing that sparked his curiosity and made him challenge himself both artistically and as a person. At the green age of six, he taught himself how to play the piano after his older sister decided that she did not want to take advantage of the piano lessons that his parents paid for. Music kept him grounded.

Kala Ali is a very evolved individual. He knows what it is like to be the brother that is College Educated; he knows what it is like to be caged a reduced to survive in America's system; He knows what it is like to go through addiction; he know what it is like to overcome such vicious demons while looking them directly in the eye. There is no experience to be excluded from his testimony.

He is an artist, he is a father, he is an observer and student simply trying to grasp and understand all of the beauty that the process of life gives us. He is documenting his life's journey beautiful and sharing with the world. He is a entrepreneur, free thinker, activist, and light.
