Despina Kalaitzidou

Despina is an award-winning playwright, an English Teacher, and a Drama facilitator living in Thessaloniki. She has directed plays for students and adults, and held various workshops training teachers and university students. Her main research interest is the exploration of drama as tool for educational purposes.

She holds an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature (Aristotle Unviersity of Thessaloniki), an MA in Translation and Comparative Literature (Essex University, UK) and an M.Ed. in Drama in Education (Trinity College, Dublin). She has participated in acting and creative writing workshops held by the University of Edinburgh, the University of Newcastle, and Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance.
