Previously, he was an Investor and Co-founder at Harita Energy, an E85 Ethanol Manufacturing firm based in Chicago. Subsequently, he was Managing Editor of Afrique News (2006-07), a newspaper focussed on West African affairs in Chicago, where he interviewed President Obama, Pres. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia and others. He was a member of President Obama's strategic new media taskforce that developed the highly successful new media campaign for BarrackObama.com.

He is a Board Member of the Ole Miss Alumni Club of Atlanta. He is interested in team building, impact investing as well as coaching and mentoring young professionals and is available to speak as a motivational speaker for corporations and academic institutions.
