Kale Zelden

Portsmouth, RI

Kale is husband to Dimitra, father of Hannah, Jack and Maribel, teacher (and academic dean) at Portsmouth Abbey, and a humble pilgrim somewhere "on the way."

Kale earned his BA from Thomas More College and his MA from Lousiana State University. After graduate school, Kale wrote for a regional golf magazine in the Gulf Coast region and spent two years working in student life at Thomas More College in New Hampshire. After a stint in teaching, Kale went to Los Angeles to work in the entertainment industry. He worked with other writers in story development as a creative producer and was a programmer for the top student film festival The Angelus Awards. He jokes that he and his boss watched more student films in the span of 5 years than anyone else in the planet and that no one deserves such a fate. Kale enjoys playing golf, watching scripted television (on dvd) and reading fiction and non-fiction. As a New Orleans native, he is an avid foodie and enjoys cooking and dining. And football...Kale is passionate about football.
