Kirsten Alvarez

Kirsten is a twenty-something social media expert helping businesses gain knowledge of (and increase) brand likability throughout the social Web by listening, analyzing, responding and engaging. She has four years of experience in professional social media expertise, but has been using social networks personally since the term came about. She also has experience writing and editing copy, and has freelanced for the Houston Community Newspapers (HCN) and a number of small magazine publications. While print was her passion early on, and the reason she received her B.A. in journalism from Cal State Fullerton, she now has more experience as a Web editor, making print copy exciting for online readers. She has the ability to edit on the front end, but she's able to create websites from scratch using HTML and CSS as well. She currently lives in Houston with her husband and two cats, but is looking forward to relocating back to her home in California shortly.
