Kamal Pankhania
CEO of Westcombe Group
Kamal Pankhania is the Chief Executive of Westcombe Group and oversees its philanthropic branch, the Westcombe Foundation with his father Vraj Pankhania serving as Chair, wife Shraddha Pankhania as Foundation Manager and brother Sunil Pankhania as Co-Chair. Kamal has led his family’s business to become a top 25 UK development group, known for restoring historic Grade I and Grade II buildings into vibrant hotels, commercial spaces and residences to boost the hospitality sector and create beautiful homes, all whilst preserving Britain’s architectural heritage. Kamal’s strategic development of Acre Hotels has reinforced Westcombe’s position as a trusted partner for leading brands like Hilton, Accor and IHG, expanding Westcombe’s reach nationwide and enhancing local economies. Westcombe’s international business is growing too, with plans to diversify across Europe, in the Middle East and the USA. Closer to home, The Westcombe Group’s support for communities extends via the Dholak Partnership, a social housing initiative established by Kamal to provide affordable homes to frontline workers.
Beyond development, Kamal is committed to helping those in need across the world. Through the Westcombe Foundation, Kamal works to fund disaster relief and vital infrastructure like schools and hospitals in countries including Kenya, India and Nepal. In the UK, the Foundation partners with charities such as Crisis and the Trussell Trust, as well as environmental initiatives like The Queen’s Green Canopy.
Looking forward, Kamal plans to create a community hub in the UK offering essential services, including a homeless shelter and food bank, to address local needs directly. His vision reflects a commitment to sustainable development and meaningful philanthropy, uniting business growth with community support.
