• Planning, organizing, directing, controlling and coordinating the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategies, planning operations to ensure the ICT infrastructure supports the organization’s overall operations and priorities

• Developing, deploying, testing and optimizing network and system services, taking responsibility for configuration management and overall operational readiness of network systems, especially environments with multiple operating systems and configurations, and providing troubleshooting and fault-finding services for network problems.

• Installing and maintaining hardware and software, by documenting diagnosing and resolving faults, managing user passwords, security and inventory documentation, ensures the efficient performance of servers, printers and personal computers, and attending to other operational tasks such as help desk support and user training.

• Establishing, managing and administering an organization’s ICT security policy and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place, and minimizing the risk of internal and external security threats.

• Providing operational support and management of computer networks to ensure they run efficiently. The IT networks can range from internet and private networks to large communications networks.

• Coordinating and implementing security measures to protect computer systems from unauthorized access. This is a critical role, which is responsible for protecting an organization’s information form cyber-attacks.
