Psychologist in Oxford, United Kingdom
I finished Masters degree psychology at University of Wroclaw, my master thesis was about Stress in Love. During my university time, I was always interested in positive psychology because it revolves around positive resource that we possess. It focuses on what can be done to improve the situation, and not the causes of why the situation arose. I like individual approach because I know that every person is different and their problems & motivations come from different sources.
I’ve gained my experience in dialysis station, psycho-pedagogical clinic and preschool for children with difficulties. In the dialysis station, I was providing support to chronically ill and I was working on improving their quality of life. In the psycho-pedagogical clinic I conducted school readiness tests, diagnosis of dyslexia, dysorthography and autism. In the preschool I was a psychologist and I took care of children with different difficulties, such as Autism, Asperger syndrome and ADHD. I organized and led group & individual activities and workshops focusing on long-term reduction of difficulties & related stress.
In UK I’m taking care of children with Asperger syndrome and Autism. I joined PPA 2 and a half years ago, since starting I’ve worked on a number of projects such as “Learning and Development” project to support employees and their careers, provided psychology consultation and help over phone & coordinated polish psychologists in Oxford. Currently I provide psychology consultations for couples, children, adults & I work in a Polish Saturday school as a psychologist. Furthermore, I take care of the Oxford’s PPA Facebook page where I provide online advise, post important PPA information, explain psychology terms/therapies and write about new psychology developments. In future I would like to continue my development in positive psychology and I would like to establish a psychology clinic.
