Kamogelo Mphela

Student in Johannesburg

My name is Kamogelo Mphela, and I am a third-year Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, majoring in Sepedi (Northern Sotho) and History. I am passionate about education, language, and history, and I am committed to developing the knowledge and skills needed to become an effective and inspiring educator. My professional interests include language education, learner development, and using technology to support teaching and learning.

Teaching is more than a career to me, it is my passion. I believe every learner deserves patience, encouragement, and the opportunity to succeed. I strive to create a positive learning environment where learners feel valued, supported, and motivated to reach their full potential. My inspiration to become a teacher came from my high school Sepedi teacher, whose dedication and passion for teaching showed me the positive impact an educator can have on learners' lives.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy sharing knowledge through digital platforms. I am working on creating a YouTube channel that I will use to tutor learners and make educational content more accessible. I also use Facebook to connect with others and share my educational journey. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing and following netball, which has taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance-qualities that I also bring into my teaching profession.
