The eldest child at home, Kanchan has been a responsible child ever since her childhood. An intelligent student, she has won various academic proficiency awards in school. With the keen interest in public speaking and flair for writing that she had, getting into journalism was 'The destination' for her according to her teachers, However, she had a tough time choosing between journalism and medical. It was a good decision they say, she chose to travel the road not taken and is enjoying the challenges it has for her.
Currently in her second year at Kamala Nehru College, DU, Kanchan started working with University University- An Outline of Delhi University In January this year as a columnist and is currently working as the Sub Editor south zone with them. Apart from this, she has also worked with Youth24x7, an online magazine as a columnist, mostly dealing with the feminist and social issues' section.
For her summer internship, she worked with The Custom T as a Social Media Marketting Intern.
She has worked as a Freelance Content Writer for a travel website and does freelancing for a couple of other firms.
Astrology fascinates her, novels engage her. Happiness finds its way to her which she believes in spreading to everyone else later. Travel gives her peace, she enjoys flirting with Quark express ( a software used for designing newletters and magazines) and working it up to match rigid deadlines is her thing.
