Kaneisha Northern is an Award-Winning Social Entrepreneur with proficiency in Community Relations, Corporate Philanthropy, Cause Marketing, Leadership Development, Program Management, Strategic Planning and Organizing.
Kaneisha’s knowledge includes spearheading the planning and development of social venture Grad Girls Network Inc. As a highly effective woman, she has worked in Entertainment Public Relations and served as Director of Public Relations for Miss Malibu USA, a preliminary to Miss California USA in addition to serving as the VP of Membership for the Hollywood chapter of Business and Professional Women (BPW) .
Kaneisha’s highly recognized accomplishments led her to being well known as a motivational figure within her community. Her inspirational messages and commitment to helping the personal growth of others allowed her to be selected in representing Young Business and Professional Women in the state of California at the International Congress of Business and Professional Women Conference in Las Vegas, NV.
She was invited to The White House in April 2013 for the Conference on Girls’ Leadership and Civic Education . She has also been honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as one of their first “Heroes of Hollywood” recipients for her community work and has been honored by Ebony Magazine in partnership with Pine-Sol as an “Unsung Hero” for their Powerful Difference Campaign. Her efforts have also been awarded by the California Legislature Assembly with the Certificate of Community Recognition, United State Congress Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, County of Los Angeles Community Commendation, and the City of Los Angeles, Hollywood Community Service Award . Her name and photograph was recently included on Bancroft Middle School’s Alumni Wall of Fame which includes the likes of Judy Garland, Mila Kunis and Jermaine Jackson amongst several others.
Kaneisha attended Clark Atlanta University where she earned a B.A in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and the University of La Verne where she earned her M.A. in Leadership and Management with a concentration in Nonprofit Management
