Karin Kangas

My educational background is from both economics and social science and I have a degree from both of these areas. In both these statistics is integrated in the education. I have studied in Japan and U.S. which have given me the ability to develop independent initiative as well as take part in teamwork in an international environment. It has also given me excellent knowledge in English.
My work at Länsstyrelsen in Gävleborg was in the field of regional development and I was participating in regional development groups. The work also involved policy and program evaluation of project financed by EU structural founds. My work as a research assistant at Lund University have given me insight in the research world and given me a network of research contacts. I also have worked with data analysis at Ombudsmannen against discrimination and when evaluating labor market measures for Malmö City.
My work with educational planning within Kunskapslyftet a government led educational program gave me experience in project development and management.
