Dark lyrics spit from a light canvas over a steady beat; call that the artistic manifestation of life from the mind of Chicago based Hip-Hop artist Kansas City Joe aka KC Joe.

This Palestinian country boy grew up in a poor, predominately white town in Kansas City dealing with heavy racial biases, finding refuge in writing rhymes in the form of rap - Naturally, he stood out. Great things are forged from the process of pressure; the things that apply the most turn out to be the things that yields the most. KC Joe's parents, his Mom and Step-father, hated rap music and for reasons he'd go on to explain through rap, he hated them. Rap became his personalized morse code of communication, expression, and release because to him, creatively bending the English language offered a new level of depth that provided access to a tunnel, well beneath his day to day reality. No thoughts about a financial come up, he began creating for the sake of creating like many of his inspirations such as Salvador Dali, Kanye West, Yelawolf, Hideo Kojima, Quentin Tarantino, Eminem, and Tech N9ne. His lyrics tells his truth, his story, his growth, (example), connecting with listeners in a real way. No gimmicks, just life including the miraculous shedding of his hate for his parents. Spoken like a true emcee, KC Joe says, "When I'm performing or rapping I feel alive, like I'm in a battle... I can either enjoy the art or embarrass you on a track."

A few of his notable releases , features and collaborations include "Firebomb" featuring Bianca Acosta and Malik Yusef on Coast 2 Coast Mixtape Volume 254, "Fresh Cool Dope Fly" also Featuring Tassho Pearce from Malik Yusef's - G.O.O.D Morning, G.O.O.D Night Deconstructed project, and "Always" off the H.O.M.E album, which was performed live at The People's Climate Music Listening event at Howard Theater (DC) with Elle Varner, Ne-Yo, and Crystal Waters also taking the stage. Whats Next? His highly anticipated EP "Edna Jean Session" is his slated for release Spring of 2016. Stay tuned.... From Kansas City to the Chi to the world, remember the name respect the game - Kansas City Joe!
