Kara P. Simmons is known for her gift of gab and tenacious personality, which has lead to the success of many individuals, local businesses and nonprofit organizations in both Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina.
A native of North Charleston, South Carolina, Kara attended Charleston County public schools. As a theatre major at Charleston County School of the Arts, she honed her knack for communication and performing arts. While attending North Charleston High School she participated in the North Charleston Youth Court, which incorporated her communication skills and her love for the community.
Kara majored in Communication Studies at Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina, where she received her bachelor’s degree. She holds a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University.
A brand name of her own…
In February 2011, she joined CoVet PR forming KP Simmons “in partnership” with Covet PR. The founders, Tedra Coakley and Tawana Tolbert, were both excited to have Kara on board. She brought her own personal flair to the company and it later opened the doors for a number of great opportunities.
Today, she is known KP Simmons, and provides a plethora of services as a freelance consultant for clients in South Carolina, Georgia and the District of Columbia.

And, with over five years of professional experience in personnel and human services, she now understands how she developed a keen interest in brand development and management. She helps her clients with their appearance/ image, manage behavior, and communicate effectively.

Most importantly, KP Simmons works hard to improve businesses, develop leaders and to motivate others.
