Kara McFarland

When not "scrambling" to find the most "egg-celent" DealChicken deals and "hatching" them all over East Tennessee, Kara enjoys being a wife to her husband and a mom to their cat, Knoxy. Kara completed her Master of Art in Journalism degree in 2007 at the University of Missouri's School of Journalism. Check out her thesis, "Motivations and Impression Management: Predictors of Social Networking Site Use and User Behavior." A St. Louis native, Kara moved to Knoxville, TN in 2008 where her husband graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Tennessee's School of Law, and now works as a patent attorney. Her suburban roots coupled with her newly adopted southern hospitality makes her a well-rounded social media maven with a wide-spread network of media masterminds.
