Karan Suryavanshi

Karan Suryavanshi is the Head of Business Development at Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL), where his role spans infrastructure project development, business growth, government liaison, asset management and administration.

He joined DBL in 2010 after completing his BBA from Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies. Over more than a decade with the organisation, Karan Suryavanshi has assumed responsibilities well beyond conventional business development, covering project planning, sales and marketing, government relations, RTO matters, vehicle and mechanical operations, project and asset insurance, and business policy.

His responsibilities also extend across several businesses and subsidiaries associated with DBL's broader infrastructure portfolio, including road-project components, railway overbridge fabrication, foundry operations and real estate development.

Karan Suryavanshi approach to business development reflects the execution-led nature of infrastructure. Suryavanshi has emphasised the importance of assessing factors such as land acquisition, environmental clearances and local litigation before projects move forward, with the aim of mitigating execution risks and protecting DBL's track record of timely project delivery. His role therefore sits at the intersection of identifying new opportunities, evaluating their feasibility and aligning DBL's operational capabilities to deliver them effectively.

As part of the second generation of the Suryavanshi family at DBL, he represents a newer leadership layer within the company. His position places him close to DBL's evolution beyond traditional construction, with responsibilities spanning infrastructure opportunities, operating assets, subsidiaries and adjacent businesses as the company builds a more diversified infrastructure platform.
