Kara O'Sullivan

Hello! My name is Kara O'Sullivan and I attend Illinois State Univerity where I am studying to become a high school biology teacher. This will allow me to teach 9th-12th grade. However, I will also be endorsed to teach biology in 6th-8th grade level.

I am a Golden Apple Scholar which allows me to gain further knowledge about becoming an educator. This is an opportunity that the majority of education majors do not get, and I will have 700+ more hours in the classroom due to this great organization, While at Illinois State Univeristy I am involved in the Golden Apple RSO as well as a few different clubs.

When I'm not preparing for my future, I often find myself spending quality time with my family, as well as my close friends. I have a rather large family, and there is never a dull moment. I believe that family is an essentital aspect of life.

A quality education is extremely important, and I can't wait to inspire my students just as my teachers inspired me.
