About 9 years ago, I received a phone call at work and I was told that I needed to leave work immediately because my mother had a stroke. I was also told that she tried to call me but I guess I was so scared to keep my J.O.B that I did not answer the phone. I quickly went to my supervisor to explain what had happened and that I needed to leave and see my mother at the hospital. Shockingly enough my supervisor told me that I needed to finish what I was working on before I left. By me having a family and not being the man that I am today, I accepted what he said and finished what I was working on before I left to go see my mother in the hospital. I can still recall the mixed emotions that I felt when my supervisor said that I could not leave to attend to my mother who was in the hospital due to a stroke. One part of me wanted to knock him upside his head and leave, not caring if I lost my job. The other side of me was telling me to do what was asked of me because my family depended on me to provide for them financially.

It wasn't until recently, that I was introduced to Mr. Robert Dean Jr. through a mutual friend who I really respect that changed my life.
