Hello! I’m Kareena McCalla and I'm currently in my second year of studies to obtain my Masters of Science in Interactive Social Media from Quinnipiac University. I currently live in Hartford, CT. In 2013, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing/Journalism from Western CT State University.
As of the 17th of this month, I resigned from my position as a Provider Service Advocate at CareCentrix, where I researched, resolved, and documented provider inquiries involving a wide range of issues, utilizing multiple information systems. While there, I also participated in teamwork improvement initiatives, that focused on quality customer service, production and resolution support groups.
My resignation came as I made the decision to fully delve into my graduate studies, pledge to my local chapter of Delta Sigma Theta and dedicate more time to my family, though recently, I was hired as the Marketing Assistant for KSY Homecare, a home health agency located in the greater Hartford area.
I'm an avid reader, and can finish a book in about one week! My favorite and longest standing magazine subscription is with Essence Magazine, and I hope to one day become the Editor in Chief. Beyond reading, I love to travel and write. Ohh, and I'm a music head!
