Karen Hopkins
ON THE BORDER
Karen Hopkins (1949-) Hi! I was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Martinez, California. At seventeen I moved to Talcahuano, Chile. After completing a university degree I went to work in London, England for Pan American Airlines and traveled extensively through Europe, the Middle East, and India. For twenty-six years I taught Spanish and English as a Second Language in a variety of settings including a private school in Panama, the "most remote school in the United States"--Ticaboo, Utah, the Navajo Reservation, a teacher exchange in Hermosillo, Mexico, high school in Phoenix, Arizona, and Cochise College in Nogales, Arizona.
My husband and I have traveled extensively for both work and fun in Mexico and Central America, camping in the remote highlands of Chiapas and Guatemala with tour eight children--now grown and having adventures of their own. We currently live in Southern Arizona, near the border with Mexico. My latest adventure is writing political thrillers and action adventure novels. Look for my books on Amazon kindle:
