Hi, I’m Karen, from Victoria, Australia. I moved from Western Australai three years ago nearly four, and took a year off from my profession that I'm still having. It's an interesting thing to do.

It seems to be a time of threes - I decided to apply for a PhD three weeks before the application deadline, after three decades as a Clinical Psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist. My research covers three broad areas - Psychology (of course), gender, and domestic violence. It's not in psychology - it's a creative arts research degree. I'm looking at the way men are represented in stories of domestic violence in Australian fiction.

And, I have three cats, who are my closest supervisors. 🐱🐱🐱
