I came to Australia in 1992 on a year's working holiday. Fell in love and have stayed here ever since.
My discription of the man I fell in love with to my parents in England "I have met a wonderful man, he is 21 years older than me, bald and totally blind."
We were married in 1993 and he died in 2003. I learnt a lot from him with regards to what people are capable of doing, with a disability or not.
