Karen Bale

I live in Port Macquarie on the beautiful mid north coast of NSW, Australia. I am the teacher librarian and co-Careers-Coordinator at St Joseph's Regional College in Port Macquarie, a Catholic 7-12 secondary college of approximately 1050 students.

I am interested in Web 2.0 technologies and their applications in the education environment, particularly with respect to school libraries. I was a trainer and help-desk person in the 2 year rollout over 2012-2013 of OLIVER Library Management System software in the Catholic Diocese of Lismore.

I love reading although I don't seem to have much time for that at the moment.

I'm a keen participant in Aquafitness classes, and I enjoy walking for fitness., and I go to Boot Camp at beautiful Town Beach 2 early mornings per week.

And most importantly, I have three adult kids, and 6 beautiful grandkiddies, and life is good.
