Karen Barwick

A six-year-old Karen looked up at her mom and said, "When I grow up, I am going to be a dentist." It was her focus. And her experiences growing up gave her the strength and courage to pursue her dream despite the challenges she faced. in 1987, Karen graduated from UNC Dental School and started practicing dentistry in Graham, NC. She has been very active in organized dentistry throughout her career: attending continuing education courses, volunteering within the community and participating in different local dental societies and organizations. In 2010, she started a dental assistant training school. Karen loves her husband, her pups and her cat. She enjoys traveling across the globe and adventures whenever she can fit it into her busy schedule. She's always up for sharing a great bottle of wine!
