I am an artist, writer, activist and public speaker living in Newton, Massachusetts. I am also a professor at Lesley University and a resident scholar at Brandeis University’s Women Studies Research Center. I was the director and lead artist for The Vienna Project and hold dual citizenship in the United States and the Republic of Austria. My scholarship and coursework support many interests: public art, feminist art, memory, Holocaust history, new forms of testimony and social transformation. I travel a great deal, looking at the political underpinnings of contemporary culture, what is remembered and what is forgotten, who is honored and what themes are carried forward.

I love art, making art, thinking about art, writing about art, and dreaming about art. In 2017, I received the Massachusetts College of Art Distinguished Alumni Award.
