Karen Williams Middleton

Karen Williams Middleton is a senior lecturer and researcher, focusing on identity, behavior and competency development in nascent entrepreneurs. Her work investigates the venture creation process within university environments, with a specialization in high-technology entrepreneurship. Implications of her research are directed towards both educational pedagogy and commercialization policy.
Karen has been a faculty member at Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship since 2004, within the area of entrepreneurial learning and team dynamics. She has, together with founder Prof. Mats Lundqvist, designed and enacted the school's pedagogic base, format and framework, as it evolved from a 1½ year national masters-level program, to a 2 year, international masters program, including specifications in technology, bioscience, intellectual captial and corporate entrepreneurship.
Regionally, Karen has been part of the learning sub-project team associated to an 8-year (on-going) Key Actor Programme at Chalmers and University of Gothenburg, called GoINN. She has also been involved in various international (and EU funded) projects regarding entrepreneurial education and university innovation.
