New York, NY
I currently work as a Policy Analyst for the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission in the agency's Policy and External Affairs department. For the TLC, I focus mainly on outreach to the public and stakeholders. I manage the agency's social media accounts, provide community outreach and assistance to drivers and other industry members. I also develop research, reports, design work and web content promoting the TLC's latest projects and initiatives.
I graduated in May 2013 from the City + Regional Planning program at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Design. I concentrated my studies in Land Use + Environmental Planning. My particular interests lie in the intersection between land use and mass transit and the ability of design and policy to shape how the public interacts with their built environment. I also am passionate about urban parks, open space, urban sustainability, brownfield redevelopment and waterfront redevelopment. I have significant internship experience working for public and private sector planning agencies undertaking comprehensive planning and transit-oriented development projects. I also hold a BA from Smith College where I majored in Sociology and minored in Landscape Studies. In my free time, I enjoy reading, blogging, fashion and finding urban adventures (particularly in the Big Apple).
