Lead infrastructure team for the organization’s largest business clients, responsible for Production and Non-Production deployment. I improved the deployment process and eliminated production related issues the project had in the past. This reduced the risk of outages and maintained a smooth production operation, successfully keeping our SLAs.
Focused on optimization and implementation of DevOps methodologies for Linux platforms, by adding and writing new Jenkins Jobs and Groovy scripts to automate various task for CI/CD, such as scheduled deployments, increased deployments time by 45% , partial deployments that increased speed by 95% , cleanup via Jenkins. These projects were the cornerstone to the success of a new project and the removal of a competitor.
Identified, defined and optimized monitoring requirements, including Introscope and Splunk. This provided us with pro-active actions, prevented outages in Production and identified potential new issues in Production that were not visible before.
Collaborated with a wide range of personnel at all levels to gain insight and avoid potential problems.
Initiated several improvement projects such as: Cleanup automation, new backup and restore process which removed full space issues.
Implemented a new ticketing system and communication process which saved us significant time on conference calls and email communications.
Managed and provided resources for the Infrastructure deployment projects through various stages: development environment, functional testing, end-to-end testing and performance until successful deployment in production. With careful planning, all projects were delivered successfully and often ahead of schedule while still achieving high quality and a happy customer.
Cultivated a team to train, implement and “think” in DevOps way, which resulted by the team members implementing new ideas to automate tasks that saved us about 5-10% of the overall work.
