Karen Hernandez

My passion for teaching and bettering our education is the sole purpose of my professional career. I enjoy doing research on a Saturday morning focusing on up and coming transitions of reformation in the field of Education. I work, research, mentor, and play in the area of Palm Springs. My passion lies in changing the lives of young children for the better.

Currently I'm completing my Master's in Educational Administration with an Administrative Credential. My current goal is to become Superintendent within the next 5-7 years. With the current education system in place one can see there is an obvious immediate need for change. My philosophical perspective on education has clearly helped me progress professionally in the short time span I have in the educational field. I strongly believe with the right people and mindsets in place a change for the best of a community can be made.

In addition I am running for CVUSD School Board Member for Coachella. My interest in bettering and reforming the current educational system in place comes from my experiences as a student from this district, former employee as a math teacher for Toro Canyon Middle School, and most importantly as a community member.
