Karen Forman

Karen is currently looking for writing/editing work as she tries to find a job that fits her schedule.

She has worked part time as a newborn baby photographer for Our365 at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. She has also worked at the front desk at her favorite gym, Retro Fitness. Prior to that, she was an assistant account executive for Syntax, covering the Babylon, Wantagh and Levittown school districts.

She spent a year as the local editor for Dix Hills Patch (now Half Hollow Hills Patch). Karen still occasionally writes and covers events for the Times Beacon Record papers and used to be a reporter for Suffolk Life newspapers. She also writes press releases for Stony Brook University Medical Center.

Before Karen had children, she was a copy editor for various magazines. Karen lives in Commack but has moved around a lot in the last two decades, owning homes in Wantagh, Dix Hills, Smithtown and East Northport.

Her four daughters are in the Commack School District. Karen's twins are juniors in college, another daughter is going into 11th grade at the high school and her youngest daughter is starting 8th grade at the middle school. (Karen took this photo in Hawaii.)
