Starting at age 14, photography became more than just a hobby after being introduced to the developing process of film. It is a rough career to start out in but the hard times do not discourage me from making a successful photography career. The ultimate goal in photography would to be either part of the fashion industry, not only taking the photos but with the potential to become an editor for a major fashion magazine, or to work within sports, from capturing the action in the arenas to the intimate portraits of athletes. After devoting so much time and effort into developing my own creative vision, along came an element of self-discovery in realization that a part was missing. Focusing on a solo career is no longer my only priority professionally but incorporating more time to my desire of helping others, specifically with mental disorders. In order of filling this missing piece inspired the pairing of my artistic talents with therapy in order to help others in recovery or their own personal discoveries. By using my personal talent in art for my own therapy and guidance makes the understanding an easier process for both sides, while adding a comfort level to individuals who may not be willing to open up easily. Ideally to specialize on PTSD affected War Veterans coping and rehabilitating into normal society would be the most rewarding part of being an art therapist.
