Hi! My name is Karien. Fine Arts dropout in order to pursue the true love: Animation. Often online under the artist name of Lilak-Rain, my biggest love is to make fictional things have a presence in reality!

I feel lonely when my sketchbook isn't around and I love taking the time to observe the behaviors of my fellow humans. I'm a critic of almost anything I think matters and I love to spend my time "studying" video games and film/series.

My love of genres is almost limitless but those of fantasy hold a special place in my heart. I look for the magic in everything, especially during those long road trips when all there is to look at are dragons racing through the clouds.

But the stories I love the most are those with sincere bonds of friendship and family at their core. I am the older sister to two younger brothers who I absolutely adore and there is no bond I cherish greater than the one I do with them (other than my eternally supportive parents of course).

Stories are what connect everyone's childhoods together and forms the culture for an entire generation. It's my dream that, one day, I'll be able to help create a story that inspires future generations too.
