WORK

I am a Certified Medical Dosimetrist and Clinical Applications Specialist with Varian Medical Systems. I teach Allied Health Professionals in Cancer Centers on Varian hardware as well as software. In terms of hardware I teach the safe & effective use of Varian linear accelerators as well as On Board Imaging. With regard to software, I work with users of the Eclipse Treatment Planning System. My favorite topics are: the use of IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) and VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy). I also work with Radiation Oncology professionals enhancing their use of the Aria Radiation Oncology Information System with specific attention to Practice Management features as well as on Record & Verify.

TEACHING

As an Adjunct Professor at Howard University in Allied Health Sciences I coach Radiation Therapy Bachelor's degree seeking students. Topics of instruction include: Radiation Protection & Quality Assurance, Clinical Concepts in Radiation Oncology, Treatment Planning, Treatment Delivery, as well as Patient Care and Patient Education.
