The electric guitar was invented in America in the mid-twentieth century, due to the appearance of the amplifier in the 1920s. At that time there were many instruments that were altered in their traditional acoustic design and incorporated some type of electrical system. The guitar was one of the first instruments to adapt despite several brands innovated in that direction on little time, the manufacture of the first electric guitar can be attributed to the brand Rickenbacker. The first musicians to adopt this system for guitarists were playing operettas and Jazz sound, who previously did not have the means to hear your instrument in orchestras. Leo Fender designed the first electric guitar sound with removable mast and few parts for the performers had no problems in having to change parts of the instrument worn or broken through use. It was the birth of the Fender Telecaster, the first of many solid body electric guitars.
