My research into cinematic movements, identity and belonging informs my installations and work with the moving image. Using super-8 film, video, crochet and sound, my recent works are representations of fear and fantasy, often focussing on how they relate to the immigrant perspective. I am interested in creating contrasts that explore personal phobias to expose the universality of alienation. I am currently researching Black German moving image towards a PhD with the Cinema Studies Institute in Toronto, Canada.
