I am an Associate Professor at the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, Diplomacy and International Institutions Chair.

My research focuses on three main areas, the first of which is the theoretical and practical dimensions of internal (domestic) security. I am interested in the internal security of EU Member States (particularly those in the Mediterranean Basin and Northern Europe), and also in the issue of the resilience of some non-European states, such as Australia, to non-military threats.

Secondly, I have explored the theoretical dimension of human security, and have examined case studies of the above countries, taking into account their human security practice.

Thirdly, I am intrigued by public diplomacy and the interplay between it and the security of states.
