A little about me... I love finding and giving the perfect gift. I love the moment you see the person’s face come alight when they realise what they have just received. My 3-year-old daughter makes gifting especially fun when she gives me a breath stopping ‘wow!’.
I’m from Denmark originally, where gifting is made precious; stores always wrap gifts so beautifully! I have been brought up in the UK, where I now live with my husband and 2 children. My career really started at Apple, where I developed a love and passion for marketing, brand building and entrepreneurship.
The idea for wishagift came when I was (yet again) preparing our family's Christmas wishlist to share with our family and friends and the nightmare that ensues, and I thought THIS HAS TO BE MADE EASIER! Not only that, I heard that friends collected boxes of unwanted gifts their children received at parties that they would either re-gift or give to charities! Instinctively, I just thought 'no'!
wishagift was launched on my 40th birthday when I received my best gift ever - a gorgeous watch. It's perfect and I'll always treasure it, and that's what I want everyone who receives a gift to feel. That's what wishagift can do.
