Karin Pfister
Teacher, Designer, and Fitness Instructor in Washington State
Karin is an educator, trainer and instructional designer who has taught Health, Horse Riding, PE, Spanish and Mathematics in various schools around Darwin, Australia and in the U.S. She has 30 years experience in the Education sector, a Master's Degree in Educational Technology and was a certified Google Education Trainer.
She spent four years working with the NT Department of Education as an ICT coach and trainer where she facilitated online and face to face professional learning for teachers and school leaders across the Territory. She has always been passionate about the use of technology in the classroom to enhance engagement and learning outcomes for students.
Additionally, Karin has worked as an Education Consultant, training teachers in innovative best practices and digital pedagogies. Her most recent work has been leading contextual trainings in programming EV3 Robots.
She currently works in Higher Education as a learning designer for the University of Washington and previously for the Innovative Media Production Studio at Charles Darwin University.
