Karissa Raymond
Karissa Raymond has more than 15 years of experience assisting clients both small and large with planning and implementing a variety of public relations programs, including media relations, event planning, product launches and written
communications.
Currently she is an independent public relations consultant for companies on a local and national level, helping them bring their product, service or organization to the forefront of their target market. Her clients span an array of areas including technology, education, finance, and beauty.
Previously, Karissa was the Associate Director of Marketing & Public Relations for Education Enterprise of New York, a not-for-profit organization focusing on struggling learners. There she managed the marketing, public relations, and advertising efforts for the organization’s three subsidiaries, one of which she launched during her tenure.
Prior to that, Karissa worked for Text 100, a worldwide public relations agency specializing in high-technology. During her time there she was an Account Manager on the Xerox account, where she co-directed a team to win a Golden World Award from the International Public Relations Association, and a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America.
Before joining Text 100, Karissa worked for Dixon Schwabl Advertising in upstate New York where she managed accounts in the banking, accounting, entertainment, and not-for-profit industries.
Karissa began her career at Copithorne & Bellows, which was acquired by Porter
Novelli, a highly recognized worldwide public relations agency. During her time
there, her clients included Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, Learning
Network, and Unisys, among others.
Karissa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Bethany College. Today she resides in Rochester, New York with her husband and two sons.
