Karlana studied fashion and art illustration at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and studied music production at Columbia College.

Karlana began her young career in the music industry as an analog sound engineer and musician. Later Karlana used her talent in art to forward her business career in the IT and computer graphics industry.

Karlana later fell in love with photography and studied the craft for nine years before becoming a professional in 2010 with Karmichael Media LLC, based in Chicago, IL.

Karlana and her family have recently relocated to Minneapolis, where she is currently available as a freelance professional in the Twin Cities area.

Karlana combines the use of art, photography and graphics design to create hand crafted custom art for private owners or commerical use.

Karlana's portfolio ranges from portrait photography and simple illustrations, to abstract graphic art.
