Karl Brensike

As an undergraduate, Karl Brensike attended the University of Southern California, where he earned his bachelor of science in entrepreneurship. After receiving his degree, he leveraged his education to launch at the apex of the dot-com boom of the late 1990s and early 2000s a software start-up called netHESIVE. As CEO of the company, Karl Brensike secured an initial venture capital investment of $1.1 million from Aweida Ventures. The companies initial product was a toolbar connecting Internet users based on their similar interests. During beta testing, the company realized the true value of the product was its back-end relational database, which could be used to enhance the results of any search engine. netHESIVE was eventually purchased by a company since acquired by Google.Today, Karl Brensike holds a partnership stake in Remora Oil & Gas, LLC, a drilling operation active in South Texas. Mr. Brensike cofounded the business in 2011.
