Karl N. Flagg concurrently serves as the Senior Pastor of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church of Palatka, Florida (since 1991) and CEO of Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel (since 1997). Former Putnam County Commissioner, District #3 (serving 2012-2016; Chairman 2014-2015)

A life long resident of Palatka and Putnam, Florida, he has been involved on a number of community boards, community organizations, and affiliations.

He's had the privilege of serving as the Mayor of the city of Palatka (inaugurated December 20, 2000; Elected un-opposed in 2000; re-elected unopposed in 2001; Re-elected in 2005, with 86% of the vote).

Formerly, he was City Commissioner, Palatka (elected October 1989) having served 1990-95.

He is a proud husband and father, His wife of 30 years, Terricena Gilyard-Flagg, is also a life long resident of Putnam County, and together they are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Karla (Jarvis) Flagg-Wright and Kandyce Flagg.

Flagg's community involvement is amazingly extensive, including Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, Putnam County Economic Development Council, Putnam County Development Authority, president, Central Putnam Ministerial Association, Florida Mortician's Association, National Funeral Director's Association, Chaplain, Florida Highway Patrol (Troop G) & the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.
