Karl F. von Reuter is an attorney and workers' compensation advocate who has been a sole practitioner in downtown Minneapolis since 1995. In this capacity he represents injured workers in court, provides advice to clients, and supervises his office staff. During his legal advocacy career, Karl F. von Reuter has handled cases with several firms, including Meuser, Rondestvedt, and Moeller in Minneapolis and David Moeller and Associates in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. His early career included work as a law clerk under workers’ compensation judges at the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings.
Mr. von Reuter studied philosophy as well as German language and literature at Rutgers University, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Through an exchange program at Rutgers, he worked on construction sites in East Germany, where his observations of German labor unions and socialist economics inspired him to think more deeply about labor rights and the American insurance industry. Mr. von Reuter went on to obtain a J.D. from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota; he has continued to apply his interest in economics, ethics, and legal philosophy to his position as a legal representative for disenfranchised workers.
The grandson of German immigrants, Attorney Karl F. von Reuter is a native of Vineland, New Jersey, who currently lives in Minneapolis with his wife and children. Karl F. von Reuter is also on the Board of Trustees for Minneapolis' City of Lakes Waldorf School where his three children are students. His pastimes include reading philosophy and German newspapers and spending time with his family and friends.
