Karlie Stonard

I completed my BA and MA in Criminology at Coventry University in 2010 and 2012. My current research has interests are focused on Technology-Assisted Adolescent Dating Violence and Abuse (TAADVA). I started researching this topic as part of my PhD in 2012 at Coventry University and am due to complete this year (2015). Specifically, my research has involved developing a questionnaire to measure the nature, prevalence, and impact of TAADVA. I have also looked at several potential TAADVA predicting factors such as in person controlling behaviours and physical dating violence, friend TAADVA, relationship closeness, age difference of dating partner, and attachment style. My future research plans are to further understand the nature and consequences of TAADVA and how this can be prevented and managed through prevention and intervention.
