I will simply mention some of the milestones that flew by on my way to an advanced age as a widower after 61 years shared with my best friend, the incomparable Barbara (nee Evans).

Rural Indiana, U.S. Navy during WWII, bachelor year bumming around Europe, degree from Univ. of Chicago, graduate studies at Univ. of Copenhagen, 13 years representing American book publishers in Europe and Africa, adventures behind the Iron Curtain, living in Europe and Malaysia, traveling the world, 34 years managing, then selling, my own business, retiring to write books. I now spend most of the year in Mexico, living as a hermit, writing novels and short stories. That's pretty much it.
