I believe in Love, Peace and Kindness. I believe that if we do our best to be the kindest we can be, we can make this world a better place. Life is too short, so tell the ones you love how you feel and be brave to tell the stranger next to you something great about them. I believe that listening is more important than speaking, and we need to do more of this. I believe that life can be wonderful even in the midst of sadness. I believe we are all connected and we are all teachers in this world. I have learned some of the most fundamental lessons from my high school students. A student wrote about how easily we can love one another and another student inspired me to forgive my own father after reading his definition of forgiveness. In addition to teaching students with learning differences, I recognize the student as a whole person, not just how talented they are in academics. I emphasize students to focus on common courtesy and kindness so that they can make a difference in any vocational path they choose. I believe if you are "approachable" you can help the shyest person in the room.
