Karon Cooper

Karon Cooper was born and raised in a small town in New Jersey named Bridgeton. While attending Bridgeton High School, I started to develop my knowledge in business and technology. Once I was a junior in high school I was Microsoft Office Certified in Word, Excel, and Power Point. Also in my junior year I picked up a marketing class and there is where I met a representative from Full Sail University. At that point I made a decision to peruse a higher education in Entertainment Business.
I was always interested in all forms of entertainment but my choice of entertainment is sports and more specific, basketball. I played basketball in high school, AAU, and other organized leagues in the community and I learned a lot of discipline and teamwork from my coaches and experiences. I noticed that my sports background is a perfect fit for the sports marketing field while attending Full Sail University because many of the projects calls for great teamwork; and a leader with a vision of the big picture and the skills to work with others to complete the mutual goal. Once I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in sports marketing, I revolved every class project around a sports concept. I finally got the chance to participate in a contest with a sports based company, ESPN, and had a successful outcome; so now I am looking forward to furthering my experience in this industry.
