I am a writer living in Salt Lake City, currently at work on "Superman is my Temple Recommend," an apocalyptic environmental memoir/grimoire in which I embrace getting sick from the air pollution, learn the art of forgery from one of the most notorious criminals in Mormon history, cast a magic spell for atonement to resurrect my oldest brother (or at least, save his soul), and gain my testimony during the waning days of the Mormon moment.
My essay, "Partial Match," was a Notable Essay for Best American Essays 2014. "The Bottle City of God" won the 2013 Schiff Award for Prose from the Cincinnati Review.
