Karsten Schneider

As the managing director of Adult Education Association in Saarland I represent the interests of our members to the federal state government. Furthermore I am responsible for public relations and the joint action of our members in marketing and innovative projects. Our member organizations provide the by far largest share of public funded adult education in Saarland, in particular in the fields of language, health, political, cultural, and basic skills education.

Previously, I was with the German Adult Education Association (DVV) and responsible for the e-learning projects Ich-will-lernen.de and Ich-will-deutsch-lernen.de. Altogether I am looking back on 16 years of experience in managing projects, particularly in the fields of adult education, basic skills, youth work and schools. The focus of my projects was mainly networking, e-learning, quality development and effectiveness evaluation. My most recent publication of project results, "Ein Grund für Bildung?'!', was published in W. Bertelsmann Verlag 2011.
